Bachelor Gives Back: Alex’s Lemonade Stand

Just this past September, 46nyc co-founded Graham Bunn from Bachelorette 4 and Bachelor Pad 2 invited Bachelor and Bachelorette Alumni to take part in their 2nd annual Lemonade Stand benefiting a GREAT cause. Since its beginning in 2007, 46nyc has been manufacturing, designing and creating apparel that stands for something more.

So what exactly does 46nyc stand for? Well that’s simple; relaxed clothing that stands for six causes. Dedicated to raising money and awareness for global causes such as disease, abuse, poverty, birth defects, malnutrition, inadequate education, and now, breast cancer, 46nyc uses the most basic thing to get involved, clothing. One of these organizations happens to be Alex’s Lemonade Stand.  It is through this age old idea, a lemonade stand, that 46nyc increases funding and awareness of childhood cancer.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand dedicates its time to fighting childhood cancer one cup at a time. The foundation began in 2000 with Alex Scott, a little four year old with a big dream. A cancer patient herself, Alex vowed to raise money and awareness to help other children suffering from the same disease. Alex began her lemonade stand in her own front yard encouraging others to make lemonade stands of their own to help the cause. In 2004 Alex passed away knowing that with the help of others, she had raised over $1 million toward fighting the disease that claimed her life.

Years later, Alex’s Lemonade Stand continues and 46nyc continues to pour cups of lemonade in her memory. This year Bachelor Nation joined up with 46nyc to do their part in raising funds and awareness. Check out the photo gallery to see some great pictures from the event.
