I completely understand what you’re saying about the Melissa situation. My honest opinion though: I know it’s a game, but from the beginning, you knew that she was into you and when the attraction and/or chemistry is one sided, it’s unfair to take advantage of that when feelings can arise so easily. I know it was a strategic move, but when you know someone’s already into you, I don’t think that’s right. Granted, it was a little surprising that she developed such strong feelings so fast, but I don’t think you should have egged those feelings on. She should have left her emotions and feelings at the door though, as this IS a game for money. It would of just been morally right to have said, “Hey, I think we would be great partners in this game, let’s team up.” Just being upfront with a girl you know who’s into you already is the best policy — especially when most girls think with their emotions and guys think more logically. I just think it was unfortunate how you took advantage of her emotions.

Just my two cents, but I know you didn’t mean to intentionally hurt her and I commend you on your apology. Whether it’s for love or money, sometimes you can’t help your feelings; you just feel – no matter what the end result is supposed to be.
