David Good’s Bachelor Pad Blog: Episode 7

OMG this show gave me sweaty hands almost the entire time.  The first competition was pretty extravagant.  The whole assembly set up at the house was pretty amazing.  I liked this competition.  Sarah dropped my name as one of the wrong answers.  I think she was calling me fat, saying I won the pie-eating contest on Bachelor Pad #1.  Nope!  It was that little dork “weatherman” that won.   First competition that kid has won since a flute blowing competition in Jr. High.

Sarah and Chris end up winning AGAIN much to the dismay of everyone there.  They are really dominating this show at this point.

One of the stipulations of winning is that you get to send home whatever couple you would like!  Blakeley now is pretty much screwed I would say.

It is safe to say that not many people in the house like Chris from what we can tell.  It is also safe to say that after his speech he just gave to everyone, THAT NOBODY LIKES HIM NOW not even Harrison or the candles and flowers in the house.  I mean jeez man if the cards were stacked up against you before they sure as hell are now!

He has been playing great but that was just stupid!  He has to think further down the road than just now.  He is so close and burning all those bridges will not pay off if you get to the final 2 couples, trust me!

Sarah and Chris do end up sending Blakeley and Tony home.   It was sad to see them go but at least they have each other hahahahah…(I give that no more than 5 weeks after the show ends)

The next competition is AWESOME!  They will be singing Night Ranger’s “Sister Christian” in front of a live audience and the band themselves will be judging.  BAD ASS SONG!  Nobody, not even the guys that wrote it really know what it means but it is still so great.  I love karaoke but this is one hard song to sing.

OMG!!!!  I don’t even know what to say here.  I have never heard so many tone-deaf people in my life!  I mean this is horrible.  I am embarrassed and nervous and sweating for them right now.

I am going to keep this short.  The whole thing was a disaster.  Ed and Jaq were sooooo bad and Sarah looked like she smoked crack before she went on stage.  Sarah was flopping around like she got electrocuted or something so then her and Chris just made out and it was just weird.  I don’t like any of this and I feel bad for Night Ranger band for having to watch their song get destroyed.

Nick and Rachel end up being the best of the worst and winning.  This is huge for them.

They now get to pick the next couple that goes home.  Nick has a great game plan to send Jaclyn and Ed home but Rachel is really struggling with sending her friend home.

She is crying more about Stags and blah blah blah.  This is getting ridiculous.  When are you girls going to learn!  I’ll bet $5000.00 that Rachel and Mike don’t last a month after the show.  People are just insanely idiotic and don’t think with common sense anymore.  She is now worried about sending her friend home?

WHAT!?  There are 3 couples left!!!  AT SOMEPOINT ONE OF YOU IS GOING HOME SISTER.  Pull your head outta your ass and listen to Nick.  He is the best chance you have of winning.

I know what you are thinking.  “But Dave what if Kovacs sent you home in the final 3?”

WELLLLLL Kovacs and I are men and we had already discussed this early on because we think with our brains and use common sense.  We said let’s help each other get to the final 3 or 4 and then it is game on, NO HARD FEELINGS.  Apparently girls don’t have these thoughts or ideas because not one, on any of these shows has done this and worst of all they all cuss each other out when they do get sent home.

Terrible, terrible, terrible.   The thought of saying that stuff that Jaclyn said about Rachel, about my buddy Kovacs if he sent me home would never even cross my mind.  Men are from earth, women are bat shit crazy should be the new book.

Nick deciding to bring Chris and Sarah was a great idea because everyone in the house hates them, so if it comes down to a popularity vote, it is a sure victory.

Have the best week of your lives this week.

  1. Jeez, looks like you’re itching to piss off the Bach-world womenfolk, Dave…the teasers for finale week look like misdirections to me. With whom do you suppose Rachel is so angry?

    Comment by Richard — September 6, 2012 @ 4:48 pm

  2. Dave, I understand the women, as a woman myself. In R’s position, I would have picked Chris to win the money, but i also know the importance of giving another one’s word and keeping it, no matter what. I also think that Michael Jac, Ed, and Rah, planned to split the winnings four ways, so they all won. With Nick, splitting was no longer an option.

    Comment by Appleshe — September 6, 2012 @ 6:10 pm

  3. ok @ Appleshe makes a good point but come on Dave! We seen the way u were with Natalie and I think u shouldn’t judge Rachel soo much. Hope Nick is half the man you are!

    Comment by Amber R — September 6, 2012 @ 6:31 pm

  4. Okay, I’m female and I couldn’t agree with Dave more here! This is what I love about Dave Good’s blogs — he has common sense! Nick’s talk with Rachel was perfect logic. Picking Jaclyn & Ed would be the equivalent to throwing away the money. I also agree that Jacklyn’s rants were insanely ridiculous. If the friendship is meant to last, it will no matter what. Rachel is a sweet girl, but her crying over Michael — she is letting emotions get the best of her.

    Comment by Phoebe — September 6, 2012 @ 6:36 pm

  5. @Phoebe and Dave, I’m female and agree with all of your points! I laughed so hard at “men are from Earth, women are bat shit crazy should be the new book.” Some women are just not grounded and can go completely overboard under the right circumstances. Some of my friends fall into this category. Men who have gotten away with treating other women poorly are totally surprised when their same behavior brings out the “bat shit.” I have to say that most times these men deserve to be on the receiving end of craziness. Maybe they’ll think twice in the future about how they treat women.

    Comment by B.R. — September 6, 2012 @ 7:41 pm

  6. I have to agree with Dave, Phoebe and B.R. We women do tend to overdo it at times, and men are such simple creatures. These women who are emotional, vulnerable, have low self-esteem, etc. shouldn’t put themselves in that position. But, I guess the lure of the camera and everything that comes with that world is too strong.

Then you have the Chris and Blake Julian’s of this world who play with a woman’s emotions and it crosses into cruelty, something ugly. They DO deserve what they get back.

    Comment by jessie — September 6, 2012 @ 8:22 pm

  7. Dave, what’s batshit crazy is asking Nat to run bare breasted on camera to get a rose — unless Nat made that up, in some weird effort to be funny. Very strategic — whip off your top, get drunk, and run around the pool topless on national television, for a rose. What’s wrong with you people?

    Comment by Ann — September 7, 2012 @ 3:34 am

  8. Just to jump in w/my two cents … there is no way that show management is going to allow every season to have the same ending. Maybe two couples planned to share, but you can bet Chris H. and everyone else were going to do anything to get a diff ending. Like making sure Michael got sent home. How is it that Nick with no alliances lasted so long? This is not just serendipity folks (to borrow from the spelling bee vocab). I can’t believe any of these selections and eliminations are being left to chance, after what we saw with Erica coming in to see Chris’s vote.

    Comment by ALWAYS A DAVE FAN — September 7, 2012 @ 7:10 am

  9. To the self-hating ladies out there who posted comments agreeing with this ridiculous, sexist dips##t: Good the Hood benefited from an emotional decision when he and Natalie won on the first season. They would not have been in the finals without the goodwill of Kytpin and Tenley, who took them instead of the other woeful couple, because the four of them had become such good friends. Last I checked, Kyptin is a man so there goes D**chebag’s attempt to change the title of a book he probably lacks the ability to read.

    Comment by Maggie — September 7, 2012 @ 9:36 am

  10. That’s quite a leap from agreeing that women are more emotional than men, to “self-hating.” That sure doesn’t describe me!

    Comment by jessie — September 7, 2012 @ 11:15 am

  11. @ jessie Me either! I think I’m great! ;-)

    Comment by B.R. — September 7, 2012 @ 11:37 am

  12. Maggie — they got there because they agreed to share the case. The other couple got cut because they weren’t involved in the scheme. Sharing the cash shouldn’t be contractually allowable. How is this game “strategic?” Can you see any of these people succeeding in business?

    Comment by Ann — September 7, 2012 @ 11:38 am

  13. cash*

    Comment by Ann — September 7, 2012 @ 11:39 am

  14. Couple things here. 1. Obviously it was a joke about having Nat run around the pool naked. That is our relationship. We tease each other all the time still to this day. If you have not caught on to that by now, you lack some very bad social skills. 2. If anyone things that this show is set up by producers I am here to tell you it is not. Their are lawyers at every competition and outside judges hired to “watch” everything. This is different than the bachelor or bachelorette because it is for MONEY NOT LOVE. When money is involved things are a little different. The behind the scenes stuff is pretty insane and it is a big deal because we could go after them in court. Love you guys feedback…good and bad.

  15. Laughing my A$$ off!! Men are from earth, women are bat sh!t crazy. That’s the best line I’ve ever read. Doesn’t matter that it’s usually the other way around, but still laughing.

  16. Dave, I like that you respond to comments! Why do a blog at all unless you do, right?
I am yo’ mama’s age but I like looking in on these ridiculous shows and noting the psychological aspects ( that’s my profession).
I wonder—Do you think women are more independent now than back in my day( the silly 70s’)? It certainly does not seem so. I did get what you meant with the “batshit crazy” line….do you think most young women are that way?
PLease express what you think about that here or in your next blog. Many thanks! :)

  17. Dave, thank you for making those clarifications on the blog. You are awesome!

@mature, if you know how to tweet, that’s your best bet… he isn’t going to start conversing with you here lol.

    Comment by Sarah Whitney — September 7, 2012 @ 4:08 pm

  18. Dave – it’s obvious you and Nat “joke.” But on her blog, she said you required her to run around the pool topless to get a rose. As for lawyers — cheating has gone on. Chris cheated by bringing Erica nto the booth with him. Offering to share money/bribing other contestants must also be cheating. I doubt very much you could go after them in court as they make you sign your rights away in the contracts. They are very powerful/wealthy and would crush any contestant who tried to sue. They could kill you in PR battle alone through bad edits, gossip in magazines, etc. Most people just think this is a stupid, sleazy show — one that makes Fleiss, Harrison and ABC a lot of $.

    Comment by Ann — September 7, 2012 @ 4:50 pm

  19. @mature — women are rebelling against the feminist movement and wanting to settle down and have families. More independent-yes, since female equality is largely considered to be a given now. This franchise is not reflective of womanhood. Most people who go on this show are unemployer or underemployed, attention seeking, and rather loose with their morals. I doubt you’d find many quality people who’d subject themselves to this franchise and all the BS that goes along with it..

    Comment by Ann — September 7, 2012 @ 4:54 pm

  20. Dave — the point about Nat was not your jokey relationships but that you asked her to degrade herself –flash on national TV — and that she obliged you. As you can see, that single incident has come to define her and has had a lasting negative impact on her that will be hard for her to live down. She is now remembered as the sleazy girl who went topless on BP. It may have been done in jest…but it was a rather bone headed decision to make. JMO

    Comment by Ann — September 7, 2012 @ 4:59 pm

  21. Not all women think Rachel should have chosen Jac an Ed.
If you`re here for the game, then play it, if you don`t want to jeopardize your friendships, then don`t go, simple as that!!
I think she`s clever to pretend like she feels like she made the wrong decision, but heck no, she shouldn`t have chosen her friends in finale. That`s like saying if you want to be a good friend, hand over your $250.000 to your other friends. Ed and Jaclyn were better liked in the house, especially Ed.

Also agree about Chris, even if he can be a good gameplayer, I`m thinking his downfall will be the fact that he is so stupid and plays too emotionally, he should know that in the end people either vote for you or somebody else toget the money. You should try to make people like you instead of being a douchebag towards their faces.
It`s very clear that that guy has a lot of growing up to do.

    Comment by SJ — September 8, 2012 @ 12:24 am

  22. But SJ, he’s a “grown-ass man!”

Ann, I agree with you about the boneheaded decision. I was pretty wild in my early 20′s, but the thought of my families humiliation would have stopped me from doing anything too stupid. I just don’t know what some of these people are thinking!

    Comment by jessie — September 8, 2012 @ 6:15 am

  23. meant family’s

    Comment by jessie — September 8, 2012 @ 6:15 am

  24. @Jessie thank you!:)

@SJ — agree. Better yet, she should have let Rachel go home when she wanted to. Nick was a wild card. J and E could have been in the final two with Kalon and Linsey. Since they were more popular, they likely would have won.

J made her bed by pinkie swearing R to stay. She did that in an effort to secure the win for herself. She also screwed up the singing contest which provided her an opportunity to make it into the final round. Instead she put all of her energy into wooing Ed.

She is a sore loser and only has herself to blame. I expect if she were in Rahel’s position she would have taken Chris into the finals too.

    Comment by Ann — September 8, 2012 @ 5:14 pm

  25. Nick made the right decision to send Ed and Jaclyn home for sure. They have a better chance of winning against Chris and Sarah because Chris is still condensending too late in the game. Nick’s speech when sending Ed and Jaclyn home was a game player and I think it worked. Also, Ed is so obnixious and has been a lead player the whole season that that would have been to risky to compete against.

I agree about women being stupid in love. I’m a woman but when we fall in love we are pretty trustworthy and devoted that we do look like stupid asses!!!!

  26. …lest we forget the boy that got bat sh*t crazy, because another boy didn’t drink his drink (like a real man)…..etc, etc……….hmmmmm……pot meet kettle!……………BTW, Ann……i probably speak for many when i say i DO NOT feel as if Natalie Getz is defined by her decision to take her top off!….i am a “Bachelor/ette/pad- Purist” from day one…..and was in NO way offended by her actions…AT ALL!!…..she WAS at a “Nudist Pool” and was having fun with her partner…..i find Nat Getz: sweet, sincere, and down to earth……..it actually did NOT register as a “sleazy move” even when it happened…….i feel she IS REMEMBERED as: the “underestimated blonde beauty, who WON the GAme fair n square, with a wacky sense of humor, and impeccable style and fashion!…..who knows, maybe we are all batshit Cray !!! ………Pam ; .)

    Comment by Pamela B... — September 10, 2012 @ 7:25 am

  27. I agree with Pam – I think Natalie is hilarious and awesome and don’t think of her as sleasy at all. She’s confident! I for one am so happy that my drunken partying 20′s happened before the internet, cell phones and digital cameras… thank god there’s no evidence!! And Dave, your ‘women are bat shit crazy’ comment made this middle-aged woman laugh out loud at work today – thanks!

    Comment by Beth — September 10, 2012 @ 8:49 am

  28. Pam,

I don’t care who you speak for. She is known nationally for taking her top off and acting like a sex crazed nitwit with loose morals, something who thinks women shouldn’t vote, and who doesn’t develop her intellect.

She was known for whipping off her top (why do you think every candidate got that question right) and sleeping her way to the win on BP by bedding Dave repeatedly.

What skills does she have? What else is she known for?

You think she’s hilarious? I think she’s a brainless twit. To each their own. Watch her on “Gossip with Getz” — her mind is darting all over the place like she’s on cocaine. She has no self discipline or focus. I think genuinely witting, intelligent people are hilarious — not drunken, party twits whose minds are soaked in alcohol and drugs.

This is a person who has no respect for herself as a woman and who is proud of being brainless, and who is indiscriminating, thinking she can trade her vayjay for $ since she can’t be bothered to actually become a fully functioning, responsible adult.

It’s true that people with loose morals and bad characters like people of similar caliber. If you are OK with Natalie, more power to you. A lot of good, decent, honorable people see Nat as the sl*t of BP.

That is exactly as she is seen and exactly why Chris H asked that question and why everyone knew the answer. If they asked, what is Nat known for on BP? What do think they would say beyond her winning? That she was loose, vulgar, and whipping off her top, drunk, crazy.

This is how the public knows her.

Sorry. Reality hurts. Who out there actually likes and respects Natalie? Trust me — not many. Very few people hold these reality show contestants in high regard. They are sad, broken, desperate people who will do anything to entertain the masses, throwing all self respect aside.

What is Richard Hatch known for? Winning Survivor! Dave Good? Man Code. Nat? what? She is known for her blog? her silly blog talk show? What? Whipping off her top at Nat? If you say ….remember that girl who whipped her top off on BP….That’s say..oh yes, Natalie Getz.

Ergo, that defines her, that’s what the people know and see. That’s her branding…despite what her family and friends may want for her.

  30. @Ann, roll out from under your rock you live in. You must be living in another time era. No one cares what you think.

    Comment by Erika — September 10, 2012 @ 11:15 am

  31. Erika, A lot of people do otherwise they wouldn’t have commented. People do care as my view is shared by many. Just read the boards. I am just saying what about 95 percent of the audience think.

Just about everyone who goes on these shows ruins their reputations. Mike Fleiss’ sister is the Hollywood Madam. They made their wealth on sexploitation. They view you contestants as soft porn stars — who do shit like this on national TV for ratings.

Who cares what anyone says on a blog or reality show board. This show doesn’t matter. Its contestants are irrelevant and pathetic. Anyone who makes a career in reality TV needs to get a reality check. Just laughable.

    Comment by Ann — September 10, 2012 @ 11:37 am

  32. Erika,

If you are Erika Rose, why is your self esteem so low that you have to kiss women on national TV? That you have to get multiple face lifts? That you have to stick you flaccid, drooping breasts in everyone’s face, that you have feltdowns on national TV? That you hit your 30s, unmarried, no law career, no legal TV show? That you became famous for being lazy, spoiled, promiscuous and lacking in skills? That you bribed people to auction you off at fundraisers? That you were voted most unattractive on a show? That you are so despised that you no longer blog — and when you did blog, you removed the comments section.

You don’t care what people think of you or say? Bullshit.

You’re not Paris Hilton. Paris gets $1 million to party. You can’t even get people to spend money for one date. Pathetic.

    Comment by Ann — September 10, 2012 @ 11:47 am

  33. The point of reality shows is to become famous for nothing. You’re only famous for having been on TV, not for any accomplishment. Every season a new crop of reality stars comes up and the old crop fades into obscurity. You’re only as valuable as your fanbase, which few of you actually have. You’re a novelty, if that. You think these stars don’t care? Gee, why are they all getting face lifts, fake tans, tweeting crap, blogging?

is all they have going for them.

You say you don’t care…it’s that “I don’t give a shit” attitude which has resulted in the poor planning and poor choices which has resulted in you pursuing “careers” as reality TV stars that people only laugh at.

Every one of you wants to be taken seriously. Nat wants people to think she is an expert in fashion because she appeared on a sex show. Is she a designer? No. A model? No. Did she go to design school? No. What makes her opinion on fashion even relevant? She appeared on this stupid show that most people treat as a joke, and likes clothing. Like millions of other people out there. She’s interchangeable and irrelevant.

That any of you think you are relevant, important, or have star quality is laughable. You’re all deluded.

    Comment by Ann — September 10, 2012 @ 11:52 am

  34. Ann- You are being very disrespectful not only to Natalie, but to Dave and pretty much all of Bachelor Nation. I am a nice person and I usually try to take peoples opinions into consideration, but your continuous rudeness is not cool at all. You have NO idea what Natalie is thinking or feeling, nor do you PERSONALLY know her. The way she portrays herself on tv, her blogs, etc, may be completely different from who she is. Taking off her top at the Nude pool does NOT define the person Natalie is. Everyone makes silly/stupid decisions, but that doesn’t mean that’s who we are. I don’t know Natalie personally, but I refuse to judge her based on what the tv or a blog shows/says about her. I am a good, decent person, yet I do not hate Natalie. I just don’t know. As for Erika, I know that she is very disliked and that she’s done some pretty stupid things, but to assume you know her feelings, thoughts, and intentions is out of line. You don’t know Erika either. I don’t know Erika. I might disagree with her actions on BPad, but I would never question her self-esteem or her intentions for getting plastic surgery. A lot of reality tv is ridiculous and people do go on to get famous, but there are shows where people become famous for very respectable reasons. Extreme Makeover Home Edition was a reality show and the people on it were famous because of the way they changed peoples lives. The Biggest Loser gives fame to people who have taken control of their lives and, for the most part, made great change. They inspire others to be better people and to love themselves. There are several cooking shows that give people the opportunity to own their own restaurants, many of which probably could not afford to do so on their own. I think these are wonderful accomplishments and deserve the fame that came along with them. As for the people who’ve been on BPAd/Bachelor/Bachelorette, there are loads of them who are genuinely good people and who have not only respect for themselves, but for others as well. To name a few: Graham Bunn, Ashley Spivey, Ashley Hebert, JP Rosenbaum, Tenley Molzahn, Kiptyn Locke, Jillian Harris, Ames Brown, etc. The last thing I want to say is that I am absolutely appalled and disgusted with the fact that you have the nerve to think that anyone (regardless if they were on the show or not) is unimportant, ordinary, invaluable, irrelevant, and worst of all, interchangeable. That’s fucking revolting and the biggest lack of respect and sympathy for human beings that I have ever seen on any board anywhere. EVERY. SINGLE. HUMAN. BEING. IS. SPECIAL. We are all unique in our own ways and we are important. Somebody out there thinks we are relevant and we are priceless. There is at least one person out there who loves you and cares for you. Everybody, whether they know it or not, is loved. Now I don’t usually bring religion into stuff like this, but, lady, you need Jesus because right now you are filled with the Devil and he is controlling you like a puppet. If you’ll excuse me, I have to go pray and cleanse my mind as I feel violated.

Well tonight boredom ensued and I read almost (couldn’t stomach it) all of Ann’s statements.

She is batshit crazy. Judgmental, close-minded, smug, condescending…don’t have enough adjectives to describe her. I’m sure she’ll have fun all by herself when the Rapture arrives and she can float naked to the heavens, shedding that stick up her ass. What a hoot she must be in real life. Shudder.

  44. Dave’s stalker — I am a Christian….to call me “bat shit crazy” for having an opinion different from yours reflects on you, not be. You’re the one using vulgar words, and I don’t twist anything around. I tell it like it is, call a spade a spade. Your response to me reveals that you are likely uneducated and underachieving….Who reacts like that? Calm down. This is a blog. Get a grip. You’re the one flipping out — ie, are crazy.

Judgmental? No. I have standards. I am discerning. Is sthis show a cess pool of sleaze? Absolutely. You do know Fleiss is a pornographer? His family business is the sex trade. They corrupt people for $.

It makes me smug and having a “stick up my ass” as you grossly describe it to say that this show is degenerate? You’re probably like a beggar on the street who thinks anyone who isn’t a promiscuous, degenerate drunk must have a stick up their ass and be bat shit crazy.

Ironically, you’re the one being judgmental, or don’t you see the hypocrisy? Am I fun? Absolutely. Do I rip off my top and act like a hooligan on national TV? No, I am too bat shit crazy, smug, and condescending for that.

Get a grip. Your issues are your issues and yours alone. The fact that you flew off the handle reflects that I hit a nerve.

Loser show for a loser audience. Dave, Nat, and you are testament to that.

    Comment by Ann — September 16, 2012 @ 10:08 pm

  45. Yes, I am smug enough to say that. Seeing idiots fly off the handle when others don’t descend to their level of stupidity and foolish life choices makes me glad to be me and to have been raised with standards. I have a happy marriage and family. No person who appears on this show is worth a damn….even if they were when they began. look at what this show did to Michael — he went from innocent to weasle womanizer. Ames went from a committed relationship to Jacki to playboy. Nat, who wasn’t much to begin with, throws herself at every guy in sight. Chris didn’t know what happened to him as he went from having a so-called relationship with Emily to bedding three girls in one week. Is any of this normal or healthy? Absolutely not. If it makes me smug, judgmental, and condescending to say this, so be it.

What a loser. Get a grip on reality. I look forward to your next meltdown and whine fest.

And who calls themself “Dave’s stalker.” How nuts do you have to be to stalk someone …or to take this show seriously enough to call yourself a stalker. Oh, I get it, it’s a joke. You basically define yourself as someone who violates someone’s privacy and harasses others — ie, someone who is pathologically crazy while calling others crazy.

You’re the one who must be a riot in real life. The guy who keys peoples cars and slashes their tires….especially those professional types who earn a good living and pursue healthy, moral, successful, happy lives. You really hate themt oo, don’t you. Those smug bastards! haha.

  47. beth collier — arent you the one who is always stirring up drama on these boards and judging people? You agree with Dave Stalker’s defensive rant 100000000000000000000 percent? (did I include enough zeros there?)

Do you think for yourself or are you just desperate to win the approval of crazy blogger posters?

And you people call me every name in the book. Look in the mirror! What crazy freaks!
