Ben’s Bachelor Episode 4
Ben is taking the ladies to Utah. I’ve never been to Utah but have heard a lot of good things.
LOL – the Wild West music to start the show is super cheesy. I feel like they should be riding in a covered wagon instead of the helicopter he is in with this music. Utah looks beautiful from up in the air though.
Chris comes in to welcome the group and stresses to them they really need to use their time with Ben wisely and not just “talk about the weather.” I think he realizes some of the girls are having a hard time opening up when talking to Ben.
Rachel gets the first date card and it’s a one-on-one date. She does not seem excited at all.
Kacie B. is really struggling with someone else going on date with him. I like her a lot but I hope she quits this. I understand it’s upsetting but don’t be the pouty girl every time another girl goes on a date. You know it’s going to happen. As hard as it is she has to try and deal with it and make the best of her time with him.
Rachel and Ben’s date is a romantic canoe trip on an awesome lake in Utah. Their date however is really lacking. I see more chemistry between the mosquitoes around them than those two. All they can seem to talk about is how beautiful it is out there and “the weather.” She does not really say much at all.
This is just awkward to watch them. It like he is pulling teeth to get her to say anything. Rachel says it’s hard for her to open up. That’s all fine and good and a lot of people are like that but that’s not a good trait to have for this show because of the small amount of time you have with someone.
She does get the rose though so hopefully she will open up more to him in the near future.
Back in the house the girls get the date card and Courtney is going on the next group date. She is really throwing out some weird vibes with the girls, which they don’t like. Not sure what her motives are here.
HAHAHA at the beginning of the group date Ben comes riding across the river and the horse jumps into the water and racks him so hard. He tried to hide it but I know that hurt.
The girls all get on horses and they follow Ben to a river where they will be going fly-fishing. That would be super fun but is also kind of hard and not a really romantic date for the girls.
Courtney says she is going to “turn this group date into a one-on-one date” then steals Ben to herself and takes him up river.
The other girls are freaking out and hating her more and more. I am going to be the devils advocate here and give her credit. She is working it. Most people really hate on her but she is there for Ben and not the girls. I do agree she can be a little obnoxious in her way about it though.
Here we go with the “magical” word again as Courtney describes the date.
Nicki thanks Ben for bringing her on the dates and I really liked that. Was really refreshing to see this. Major points for her!
Samantha interrupts Nikki and comes in with the total opposite message to say she is tired of the group dates and wants a one-on-one. Ben said he does not appreciate that and that he does not like the way she has interacted on the group dates and sends her packing!
Wow. She is gone just like that. I think what she meant and wanted to say and her approach and what she actually said differed a lot. Ben had clearly been thinking about this though because that was kind of a little thing and out of the blue to get sent home for like that.
Ben pulls Kacie aside and tells her he “wanted to kiss her in the river today” and they share a kiss. I love their chemistry. You can tell he likes her and his actions show it.
Courtney and Ben head upstairs to spend some time together and she tells him “she has lost sight of everything” and is just putting on a serious act. Even sitting on a plane watching this on my computer can see right though this B.S. I don’t think Ben does however.
AAANNNNDDD I was right. He goes and gets the rose to make her feel better. I’m going to bite my tongue here because I could explain why this just happened but I will get so much crap it’s not even worth it. I’ll keep it all butterflies and rainbows for you tonight.
Jennifer gets the next one-on-one date. She seems really nervous. I don’t see them working out in the end but I do like her. She is a very sweet girl.
To make her nerves worse they are repelling down a 300ft crater then dangling in the air and dropping into the water at the bottom of it. I mean that sounds fun to me but I see why this poor girl is super freaked out.
Ben says and I quote, “we are getting in the crater the way most people wouldn’t normally. We are dropping in from the ceiling.” I don’t know about you but how else would you get into a crater, from the basement? HERE’S YOUR SIGN BEN.
Fun Fact: Favorite Foxworthy here’s your sign: (sitting on the side of the road with a flat tire when another car pulls up)… “What’s the matter, tire go flat?”
“Nope! I was driving along and those other 3 just swelled right up on me.”

Anyway back to getting into this crater from the top like you normally would not do.
Ben say’s he is impressed with Jennifer today and so am I. You could tell she was nervous but went for it and that is awesome to see in an individual. I love taking people out of their comfort zones to see how they react. Sometimes I enjoy it a little too much but once you push somebody to a new limit, you have just expanded their horizons and possibilities as to what they can think, do and achieve. If nobody took chances where would we be right?
I really like her. She is a super sweet girl and appreciative of everything. I love that. When a girl is appreciative and lets you know she likes what you have done for her instead of acting like she “deserves” it can make a guy feel really good.
She gets the rose and Ben walks her over a hill where Clay Walker is playing in front of a big crowd and then sings to them as they dance. I love Clay and that’s a super cool ending to the date.
Its rose ceremony time!
Emily tries to talk to Ben about Courtney and throw her under the bus. She tells Ben she does not think Ben sees the real Courtney and that Courtney is different around the girls than she is with him. Ben does not like this at all. This was a huge mistake and bad play on her part.
I have learned all of this the hard way and know its best to keep it to yourself and just worry about you and your time with the person.
Emily should have “RAPPED” it up and kept her mouth shut. 
I am actually on Courtney’s side here. Courtney should be pissed and I would be too. Emily also wussed out when Courtney called her out in front of the group and was like “what are you talking about?”
If you are going to throw someone under the bus and they call you out, you at least have the gut to own up to it.
Time to hand out the roses. I really don’t have a clue who might get sent home. Either Emily or Monica I would say….
Yep. Monica is the only girl that gets sent home. Wow that sucks for her. I don’t remember ever seeing only one person go home at an actual rose ceremony. Is that a first?
I am sure most of America hates on Courtney right now but let me say this: everyone hated Michelle Money and she is one of the sweetest most genuine individuals any of you would have the pleasure of meeting. Everyone hated on her for kind of the same thing.
Next week we go to Puerto Rico! I love it down there!

Really tired of everyone comparing Courtney and Michelle. Michelle only said sarcastic things during her ITM’s. There was never footage of her being openly rude to the girls faces. Courtney; however, is rude to their faces. She says mean things, laughs at them, and boasts about her winning and having a rose. Michelle never acted that way to the girls.
Don’t blame Courtneys rude behavior on editing. She is simply not nice.
Emily is a kind sweet girl who was trying to protect Ben. She deserves applause.
Kacie only whines during ITM’s. Once again, how many times are the producers asking her how she feels!
I have a question…why are they not showing any of Lindzi. If she is a favorite, they are keeping her well hidden.

The thing with Michelle Money was that she actually seemed like she had a heart. Courtney doesn’t seem like she has one, unless she’s just hiding her insecurities and is a better actress than I would have given her credit for.

There should be NO comparison to Michelle & Courtney. Come on man, I thought you were better than that!
As the above person said, Michelle was clearly just sarcastic most of the time. Courtney…no way. She is straight up rude and inconsiderate.
You said you could see right through her BS on manipulating Ben to give her the rose, but clearly you can’t see her manipulating all of America to “WIN”. That’s all it is to her. A competition that she has the chance to win, not fall in love. A chance to keep “winning”.
Ridiculous I think and I can’t believe you are backing her up in this.

I feel she has replaced Vienna as the Vixen. But as others have said Courtney is totally vixen-like, but also rude, abrasaive, and inconsiderate face to face with the girls. Michelle was producer-created with her ITMs, and hilarious. There is nothing created about Courtney, what you see is what you get. Unless you’re Ben. And there is definitely nothing hilarious about her.

I too don’t see the comparison between Courtney and Michelle. Michelle had numerous friends in the house and this tells you alot. Courtney has one person vouching for her and I have not seen enough of Casey S to know whether her word holds any truth.
I do believe Courtney is TRYING to be like Michelle but she is failing miserably!!!! Michelle was funny and sarcastic (I laughed out loud a lot during her ITMs) and I wanted her to stay just for the entertainment. Courtney is nasty and not funny at all and I want her to leave ASAP!
I just feel sorry for ben because lets face it, he is just going to get his heart broken

I like this blog because it is short and to the point. I get pretty lost reading some of the long ones. I’m pretty mixed up about Courtney, but I will say that those who hurt others are not very nice people (right?). I almost feel bad for Courtney if she continues to decimate her character so much on television. But, alas, I absolutely love this show so whatever works for me; as long as everyone is okay.

I was so looking forward to someone in the bachelor blogosphere pointing out what a complete mockery they made of fly-fishing on this episode, and you came the closest in pointing out that it is hard. There was just nothing right going on in that river, and even Ben did not look experienced. For the right TWO people, though, fly-fishing can absolutely be romantic. A lot of folks have criticized Ben’s dates for being lackluster at times, but for a laid-back, outdoorsy person, which seems to be what he is looking for, these dates are perfect.

Anyone who thinks Michelle was joking has the wool pulled over their eyes by Michelle. She did flaunt when she received roses during group dates – recall the drunken pool dance where she waved it in front of all the girls? She was not a product of editing. She chose to give them (producers) things to work with. She only had the guts to say mean things to a camera, and was what is known as “two faced.” That’s the only reason she had friends in the house. Oh an did I mention here in Utah she is known as an active home wrecker and gold digger? She’s an expert at fooling people. Don’t let her do the same to you.

Wow. I read Ashley’s blog and her comments which directed me here. Did Craig Robinson really say all that stuff? Wow. What a loser he is. This is lower than the bs Kasey pulls. Just shocked.

I also read Ashley’s blog and came to this blog as the comments did say to come here. I followed along on twitter this weekend and saw everything that was being said. It’s really too bad that whoever posted on this blog did not include all that was being said by the other 2 (bebo and shirin_homa). IMO, they pretty much brought it all on themselves. You want to call Craig, Scott and Ashley racist or whatever else you want to call them, but stand back, take a good long look at yourselves in the mirror (yes you 2 bebo and shirin_homa) and tell me why you are not as guilty as they are?? Seems to me that you have nothing better to do with your lives than hurt others. You 2 claim to be adults, grow up and get a friggin life. I think it’s great that Craig and Scott stuck up for Ashley. Did they take it too far…maybe….but the 2 of you deserved what you got. If you are going to say mean and cruel things about other people, don’t be surprised when you get it right back in the face. And if you can’t take it, then STFU. You are no better than them and just as guilty as them. You 2 need to get a life…a real life…and leave them alone! At Bebo – you claim to have children. Pretty poor excuse for a role model don’t you think?? Why don’t you show your kids your tweets from this weekend and explain to them why they should NEVER act like YOU!!!!!!
Keep your heads up Ashley, Craig, and Scott! You’re young kids who like to have fun. We’ve (well, at least most of us that are normal) have been there, done that, made some not so great decisions and learned from them. It’s called life! Don’t listen to these fools on here!
As for the haters regarding Trista. I have followed her on twitter for a long time. WHAT A GREAT MOM SHE IS!!! So she tweets about her kids….something would be wrong with her if she didn’t. She is a proud mom and it shows. Good for you Trista! There needs to be more moms like you in this world! You are beautiful both on the inside and out!
