Michael Stagliano’s Bachelor Pad Blog: Episode 6

Blog Friends,

Hellllooooo!!!

I am back this week, not on screen…sad face… but back to Blog!!!

And the blog starts…

…Now

Epi 6.  Getting down to the nitty gritty like P-Diddy.  You can tell just by looking on people’s faces that the GAME part of this show is quickly becoming an ALL CONSUMING force in the house.  While the first 3 or 4 weeks are a little more laid back – hanging out, drink by the pool (enter Ed)… The last few weeks are the exact opposite… EVERYTHING comes down to the challenges, and it is crucial who wins and who DOESN’T win, each one. It is CUT THROAT!

Now… when I say cut throat, which is a pretty intense image, I picture Pirates, Ninjas, 300… brutal battlefields where well fought battles earn you eternal glory and $250,000. In this episode… ABC decided… that cut throat… meant… Spelling Bee….

Ba doom… doom……… doom.

Deep Breath.

Deep Exhale.

So I just, truly don’t have any desire to recap a Spelling Bee…  I think it would be like commentating on someone painting a wall…

The ONLY thing that held my interest was when Ed and Jaclyn got the word “Cockamamie”…. and Ed stopped spelling the word like 3 syllables too soon.  Hahahaha, I laughed a lot.  Also worth pointing out…was how many times they skipped over the spelling part (because it’s boring as f- ) and just announced if they got the word wrong or right.

After like 73 bells being rung… Chris and Sarah win, they can’t believe it, the other players can’t believe it… and we can’t believe it either.

Chris and Sarah get the roses and a date, while Jaclyn and Ed get a consolation date…no roses though… Chris and Sarah jump and spin and laugh and twirl their way out of the high school… They fly to… a place…where was that?  Sarah is interested in whether or not Chris is ready to open up after his heartbreak with Emily… Well Sarah, lets define “open”… sleeping with 3 different girls in 8 nights… I think that counts as “over Emily”… I don’t think that counts as “ready for love”.

Chris kind of talks about it, and admits the break up with Emily was really hard on him… I don’t know… I’m not buying it… They jump in a lake, have dinner, make out in a barn and solidify their “partnership” even more.

  1. Thanks for another good recap, Michael. I’m at the point where I just want the whole mess to be over. And Fleiss, of course, changed the rules to keep everyone’s half-assed interest up (he didn’t want to let Sarah and Chris go). I vote this as the last season of BP. I’ve had enough sleaze to last a lifetime time. Good luck Michael! Stay way from reality TV!!!!

  2. Jessie,

ITA. No more of this franchise for me. It’s too much.

While I was incredibly turned off by Ben’s season (slightly inspired by Emily’s), and absolutely sickened by BP3, the coup de grace for me was Natalie’s interview with Craig R.

How gross. These reality people just hook up with each other. it’s one big orgy. There Nat is offering herself to Craig R, Kalon, Dave, Chris…and then proclaiming women shouldn’t vote. Hopeless.

Even Stags, dumping his girlfriend to go on reality TV, leading poor little Rachel on, and then reconnecting with her after the show is over, leaving R to think she is in a relationship.

No decent man uses a woman.

What Stags said on the Bachelorette Finale is how great it is that women will throw themselves at you after you get on this show. Gross. Who’d want that kind of woman.

Stags apparently think he’s going to spread his seed and now has about as much integrity as an alley cat.

Even though I am no Erica fan, what she said about Michael is entirely true. He is dishonest. At least Blake is married, has a stable job, and monogamous. Michael is a wannabe musician, sleeping with anything not nailed down, and a weasle.

None of these people are any damn good.

  3. Part of the reasons the contestants couldn’t spell the words correctly is that Chris Harrison mispronounced many of them.

    Comment by Appleshe — August 28, 2012 @ 4:10 pm

  4. Michael, if these sources are true I am no longer a fan of yours. You repeatedly said you were on the show for “love” this time. You managed to make Rachel fall in love with you, as she was completely traumatized when you left.

I understand that you need publicity for your music career, but going on BP claiming to look for love and having a fake gf (fake on your side, not hers) is not the way to go. Karma will always bless you or teach you hard lessons.

Read Reality Steve’s column, then come back and defend yourself.

  5. @ Appleshe

Which words did Chris Harrison mispronounce? That’s hilarious!

    Comment by skylar — August 28, 2012 @ 4:27 pm

  6. @Cassie, I agree with you in that if everything that was said about Michael is true then that’s pretty shady, but did you really just order him to go read RS’s column and come back here and defend himself?? Why does Michael owe you an explanation?

    Comment by bearkat — August 28, 2012 @ 4:44 pm

  7. @ bearkat

LOL, yes I did. I am completely nauseous and starving, have a stomach virus today and reading that back it does sound pretty ridiculous. I ordered Michael to read RS’s blog and defend himself, hahhahaha. Thanks for calling me out on it.

  8. Wait, Blakely didn’t sleep with Chris the turd, did she? I thought it was completely platonic…

    DEFEND YOURSELF STAGLIANO!!!

    Comment by Katherine — August 28, 2012 @ 5:31 pm

  9. I am so disappointed in you. It seems to me you went back on reality tv to promote your singing career, and string a girl along which unfortunately was Rachel.

Rachel seems like a nice girl, and all the bachelor/ette people seem to say she is. You used her, and that is sad.

Rachel, you will find someone great. Hang in there.

  10. Yikes, sorry if I sounded harsh, Cassie. Hope you feel better soon. You never know, sometimes there can be some crazies in these comments section. I like Steve’s comparison of Jemily fans to Twilight fans.

    Comment by bearkat — August 28, 2012 @ 5:51 pm

  11. Appleshe– what is this interview with Natalie and Craig R. that you mention? I would love to see it!! I am also disappointed by rumours about Michael, but to be honest, I don’t think Reality Steve is completely trustworthy. He shares what he wants, and withholds information if he feels like it. I was surprised by Michael’s decisions in BP3, but I was also fascinated by his transformation… from a nice, humble, semi-nerdy guy to someone who has quite an ego… but who can blame him, after hearing his fans sing his praises, finding out that someone like Donna has been infatuated with him for years, etc. I feel like this show ruins good people, by giving them huge egos. Maybe it is better to NOT know how cool people think you are? This is something I noticed with Matt Grant, Ben, and others, and I don’t blame them. Having 25 girls fighting over you will surely make a man’s ego grow!!

  12. @Cassie, it’s good to see someone own up when they might have made a silly comment.. i think we’ve all said things and then thought, “oops, did i really just say that?” haha..

    @bearkat, team Edward!! ;)

  13. First of all I am so glad that Chris was able to get Erica to send Michael home last week, last weeks episode was the best I’ve seen yet; and second, I am so happy that won that Chris and Sarah won the spelling bee. I didn’t like Chris when this all started but now I’m completely hoping that he and Sarah win. I cannot stand the Bachelor Season 16 girls and their alliance with some of my least favorite guys ever (Ed). And I just commented here to show that there are other opinions out there and not everyone is a fan of the alliance. Chris was not thoughtful (Blakely seems like a very difficult person to be partnered with) but he was honest with every person in the house for good and bad.

  14. @ bearkat

No problem, you weren’t harsh at all. People do get crazy and nasty hand I didn’t get that vibe from you at all but I could see how you could get that from what I wrote. It was the highpoint of my day when I read your comment and then read mine again – I had a severe case of the giggles. “Read Reality Steve’s column, then come back and defend yourself.” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….oh…stomach. Thanks for the well wishes.

    @ kasey

Thanks, too bad there isn’t an edit/delete button here!

  16. Oh geez, I’m totally out of it today.

“People do get craqzy and nasty here THOUGH I didn’t get that vibe from you”

  20. funny that you did not even mention Rachel’s agony and how you played her with having a girl back home. nice job Michael!

    Comment by andrea — August 29, 2012 @ 1:20 am

  21. Miss you terribly on this show. With that being said and I’ll say it again, I truly love Kalon and Lindzi together.
Couldn’t stand him on The Bachelorette but this guy is funny and truly sweet. I hope things continue going well for both of them. Loved how he jumped in the car with Lindzi. Awesome.
Don’t like the way Nick acted and feel bad that Rachel is stuck with him as a partner. Curious to see how this all winds up and really hope that Chris doesn’t win.
    Miss you TERRIBLY…………..

    Comment by Claudia — August 29, 2012 @ 1:56 am

  22. Too funny how you managed to totally ignore Rachel’s angst during the episode. Knowing you were only on the show for “love” as you said and not, of course, to promote your music career.
Seems like Rachel actually believed you. So what’s the status with her?

    Comment by Melissa — August 29, 2012 @ 6:50 am

  23. @skylar

One I noticed was “lascivious” which he pronounced as “ladivous”

    @amy

You can find the link to the show at the bottom of Nat’s blog site — Gossip with Getz.

I hope I am not too jaded (maybe I too cynical about this show:) but it seems like Nat is offering herself to Craig (she was similarly flirty with Chris.), they talk about the Bachelor “Welcoming Committees” and Craig’s efforts to hook up with random women!

    Comment by Appleshe — August 29, 2012 @ 9:13 am

  24. @Melissa, great post…ditto all of what you wrote…from me too.

  25. Michael I don’t want to talk to you I am just too majorly pissed off at you right now.

But I am still waiting for Dave Good’s blog and he’s always late with his blogs.

I know you are his friend so CALL HIM NOW and TELL HIM TO PUT HIS BLOG UP. You owe me that.

Comment by This is Not Cassie — August 29, 2012 @ 2:18 pm

  26. Also according to RS’s blog, Kalindzi are no longer together, but Kalon is still posting pictures of them up on twitter. Is this guy for real?

Please call Kalon or Lindzi to confirm and get back to us. Not later – NOW.

Comment by This is Not Cassie — August 29, 2012 @ 2:24 pm

  27. @Cassie and @kasey, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit “post comment” too fast on RS’s site and others and then realizing I had tons of spelling typos. But there is a huge difference between a simple spelliong (leaving that error in on purpose) typo :) and not knowing the difference between “your” and “you’re.” My favorite is when people say “your so stupid…” Um, okay. Really?

    Comment by bearkat — August 29, 2012 @ 3:27 pm

  28. Michael,

You sold everyone out for a music career? Ty Brown is very talented. Your music seems just OK, probably on par or worse than Wes. I mean you’d never win an American Idol audition. You’re like some average guy singing because he wants to sing. But I am not sure you are some great “talent!”

Where does all of your arrogance come from?

    Comment by Tea Leaves — August 29, 2012 @ 5:15 pm

  29. You’re the best and I don’t believe any of the things Reality Steve said about you are true. Best of luck in everything you do:) Much love!!

    Comment by Megan — August 29, 2012 @ 8:56 pm

  30. Before I go jumping on the Reality-Steve bandwagon, let’s all remember that he likes to run one…two…or 5 people under the bus every season. Emily’s season he did this huge thing about how fake Arie was and only in it because he was hooked up with the job by a producer. Turns out he wasn’t in touch with her and actually fell hard for Emily. Reality Steve takes a few facts from someone’s life and twists them in the most selfish and dramatic way possible. He not only sees the negative in people, but he magnifies that negative into ulterior motives and evil intents that most normal people would not come up with on his own. Just sayin’

    Comment by Pamela — August 30, 2012 @ 6:50 am

  31. I was soooo happy Chris and Sarah won the spelling bee. I don’t see why Ed is still around..he’s a nerve jerker. Jaclyn, glad to see more from you these past few weeks. You’ll find love just stop giving face and don’t be so blunt, try to be sweeter and say nice things even if it’s phony.

    Comment by badapple — August 30, 2012 @ 9:52 am

  32. Did anyone notice Rachael trembling when she was putting on her makeup…lol

    Comment by Sasha — August 30, 2012 @ 9:55 am

  33. Michael and Nick are about the only ones on the show with any morals. It’s pathetic how desperate and sleazy Jaclyn, Jamie, Sarah, Ed, Chris are…on national tv no less. Michael and Nick were the ONLY smart one’s, not leading anyone on, but PLAYING the game. Why do people want to believe Michael had a serious relationship with Rachel in the very short amt of time on BPad? He’s avery classy guy, unlike the rest on BPad, pbably did care about her, but not enough for a relationship. Geesh, people, use common sense! He was def. not her type…her ONLY tears when he left was because she was afraid she lost her chance of winning without him. People like Michael with great values instilled in them don’t change! Goodluck to you Michael & also to Nick. You set a good example and you’re the best!

    Comment by cammy — August 30, 2012 @ 10:41 am

  34. @badapple, Jacyln reminds me of ball busting professional women. I can imagine her rocking an office, being partner of a multinational firm. She’s bright and attractive in an unconventional sense. I think she has an interesting face and a great career ahead of her.

    Comment by Appleshe — August 30, 2012 @ 11:27 am

  35. Way to go Michael… Rachel spent 2 hrs of the show crying and pining for you ( stabbing her eyes out with that make up brush!) …and you dont both bother to address it on ur blog …. instead yeah keep plugging ur sorry a$$ singing show, love notes and T shirts!

    Comment by Candy — August 31, 2012 @ 10:50 am

  36. ok for reals, if you don’t like Michael then why are y’all reading his blog? Leave him alone. I’ve met Michael on multiple occasions, and I truly beleive he’s supper genuine and nothing but a stand up guy. Don’t beleive everything you see on tv people!

    Comment by sara — September 4, 2012 @ 12:58 pm

  37. Michael, I think you are wonderful, and I don’t care about the drama, and like Sara said above me, I think you are a stand up guy no matter what really went on in your personal love life… but I have been wondering about something for a while. When you said you were coming on BP3 for “love” was that a wink at the audience, as in a sly reference to your album “Love Like This”? If so, I think that’s pretty brilliant marketing.
