NATALIE’S BACHELOR PAD BLOG: EPISODE 7

Episode 7:  Dry Humping

Chris Harrison took a basic, denim top to the next level.  I’ve been digging denim on denim for the past year or so and it’s finally catching on.  It is tricky to pull off, but the key is to make sure your denim mixes are different shades of blue.  The only thing denim I still don’t agree with, and probably never will (unless it’s on a small child) is a denim skirt.  Please ladies, don’t wear this.  The other day I saw a girl wearing a ruffled, denim skirt with a polo.  I about lost my shit.

Anyway, Chris tells the crew that whoever wins this next competition will not be safe, but will be deciding which couple will leave the mansion immediately.  This reminds me of Bachelor Pad 1 when Chris told us all that 4 ladies would be leaving the mansion immediately after our competition.  We were all nervous wrecks!  There were 8 girls left and 4 guys.  The guys got to each pick a girl to move on to the next challenge with them.  Luckily, Dave Good picked me and we went on to win:)

Hanging By A Thread:  A Haunting Past…

Immediately, I knew Sara and Chris had this in the bag.  Why?  Because Sara was on the show well before the Ben’s girls meaning she has more than likely seen more seasons.  After being on this show, most of us can’t stop watching the seasons after us since we have been through it.

You know, after my season I said to myself, “No one is ever going to remember me taking my bikini top off a year from now…”  Two years later and every person got Chris’s next question correct.  Chris asked the question, “What girl took her top off at the Bare Nude Pool in Las Vegas on Bachelor Pad season 1?”  It was there where I damn near peed my pants, hoping and praying my boyfriend’s mom wasn’t going to watch this episode.  Chris then states, “That is correct.  It was Natalie Getz.”  Was the last name drop necessary?  Hahaha:)  I could have lied and said there were two Natalie’s on my season.  Let me explain why I took my top off…  You see… I was drunk.  That, and I’d never been to a nude pool and thought it would be fun!  Oh, and Dave told me that if I didn’t, he would not give me the rose.

I have been loving Rachel’s swimwear all season.  I feel that her and I have similar skin tones and brown brings out a natural tan in her skin.  Another thing to point out that I LOVE is that Rachel’s hair is the same way it was during last night’s rose ceremony.  Ha!  This was my same situation on my season.  We got woken up so early for challenges that I was too unmotivated to shower much less change my hair from the night before!

Chris and Sara win, and big shocker here… they send Blakeley and Tony home.  Chris and Sara have both had the upper hand towards each other more than once.  I do feel bad that Tony came all this way to get money for him and his son, but at the same time, I’m proud of Chris for making a strategic decision, not an emotional one.  Chris may very well be one of the best players from all three seasons.  Even if you dislike him, you can’t deny that!  He got himself this far when basically every episode he was on the chopping block.  The thing I liked about Tony and Blakeley’s limo exit was that they were both understandably upset and didn’t do the whole, “Oh well, at least we found love” bit.  Yes, they were fortunate to find love, but it still majorly sucks to get that far and go home with empty pockets.  On a brighter side, she and her frenemies Rachel and Jaclyn are actually friends now.

Singing Challenge:  ”Jaclyn is extremely tone deaf and I’m actually a horrible singer.”  -Ed

Watching the teams practice with their vocal coaches is probably my favorite part of this season.  The best part is that they are all trying very hard because money is at stake, so we know it’s not just them trying to be funny.  They all really suck that bad.

I can always count on Ed to wear a super hot country western woven.  Side note:  Doesn’t Ed look like a grown up Greg Brady?  I’ve always thought that.  And randomly, Greg Brady was also a horn dog.  Rumor has it he was sleeping with his TV mom, Carol, on set and it caused huge controversy.  How I know that, I don’t know.

Anyway, who calls it a running mix?  Ed is such a lovable dork on so many levelsI’m shocked that he didn’t win this competition considering his local watering hole in Chicago IS a karaoke bar!  Hahaha! When the band asked Chris Harrison if he thinks the cast will perform their song well, Chris replies, “No, they are going to be terrible.”  Talk about the understatement of the century!

I’ll say it again, this man is sexy.  His voice box on the other hand is just plain gnarly.  And holy, holy, holy crap…Sara’s voice is soooooo horrible!  OMG!  I feel like you would have to try to sound that bad!  Just one more reason I love her… she doesn’t give a damn and her stage presence is what makes her a rock star!

Sara is rock star hot in teal spandex, a glittery bra, laced gloves (Jamie, take note that this is prob the only time lace gloves work for an outfit) and sweet leather jacket.  HOLLER!

Rachel’s sheer halter is pretty amazing too.  With those bangs, Rachel already has the edgy look, so she plays the hot rocker girl perfectly!  Too bad Nick looks flat out horrible.  A black wig?  There are soooo many ways a dude can look hot like a rock star.  His hair doesn’t signify the 80′s.  It signifies a tacky Halloween store.  Don’t get me started on Ed’s blonde locks.

I’m not sure who dressed these guys, but Jaclyn looks like a Scottish, slutty school girl.  How is Ed going to get through this performance next to a schoolgirl outfit?  I hope he isn’t wearing tight pants.  I think this is why Ed started humping Jaclyn on stage during there performance.  He couldn’t control his little buddy any longer around that schoolgirl skirt.

To sum things up, I think they all did terrible.  If they all did well, I wouldn’t have had fun watching.  So thank you, I guess, for sucking at singing.  Jaclyn and Ed asking to start over reminded me of when Dave and I messed up on our final challenge DWTS routine.  We had it down perfectly, but when I saw him in a unitard, I lost my shit and forgot all the moves.  Ahhhhhhhhhh (awful) memories.

Rose Ceremony:  What did Jaclyn say to Rachel when she was leaving that made everyone gasp?  I couldn’t hear!

Nick and Rachel end up choosing Sara and Chris to go to the finals with them and I was honestly shocked.  That was the best move strategically that’s for damn sure, but was it worth it?  Are Rachel and Jaclyn friends yet?  We shall see at the finale!  I remember Kiptyn and Tenley had to choose either me and Dave or Jesse and Elisabeth.  They knew Dave and I had a way better shot at beating them than Elisabeth and Kovacs did, but since Dave and I were good friends with them and saved them several times throughout the season, they decided friendship and loyalty was more important.  This show does do crazy things to you mentally, and I am so grateful Tenley and Kiptyn chose us.  In the end, us winning over them didn’t prove to be healthy for certain friendships.  Bottom line, don’t go on a game show with your friends.  LOL.

  1. Don’t worry about the bikini thing, seriously! Since your season, there’s been Courtney skinny dipping for goodness sakes. And we see the tops go off on other reality shows like NY Housewives … so you can chill, no one is thinking bad things about you. Besides all your reasons are really good for why your bikini top came off, ha ha!

  2. Oh well in that case, I’d strip too….NOT. I wouldn’t go on this sad excuse for a reality show to begin with, much less agree to take off my clothes on public television. Oh Hey Natalie’s boyfriends mom, did you read/watch/hear all that? Well at least you have the excuse that you were drunk…WHAT? How many times has this franchise shown how embarrassing people act when they are drunk? Watching ONE episode is all I’d need to know better than to appear on ANY of these shows, not to mention, repeat the stupidity of previous contestants. Class, is just not in any of these peoples vocabulary.

  3. Nice blog, Natalie, but it worries me when you say Chris is sexy. Please, please, PLEASE do not ever go near that.

    Comment by Cassandra — September 6, 2012 @ 11:55 am

  4. Jaclyn just said quickly “I’m fine” and would not let Rachel speak.

  5. Chris, playing the game smartly?? That honor goes to under-the-radar Nick, or somehow-I’m-loveable Ed, or even the gone-too-soon mastermind Michael. CHRIS just stumbled in like Bigfoot, stepping on anyone that crossed his path, deludedly thinking he had power, an in a narcissistic coma so deep there’s no coming out of it. To each her own about his charm and attractiveness (vomit), but I have yet to see him make a calculated, intelligent “move” in this game.

That said, hilarious blog as always! Love hearing your thoughts.

    Comment by Deni — September 6, 2012 @ 12:58 pm

  6. So, you guys are no longer close friends with Tenley & Kiptyn?? That’s a shame.

Personally, I think Chris has played the game the worst of anybody in the house. You, yourself, said many times during your season that the game is about relationships, and he’s spent most of the season destroying his.

The point of the game isn’t to win the most challenges – it’s to win the money. And the only way to win the money is to get the most people to vote for you. But in all his arrogant stupidity, he’s forgotten that one little fact. He and Sarah instead laugh about how much everyone hates them instead of trying to mend fences. So, when it gets down to where it counts, he’s going to lose because almost everyone in the house dislikes him and won’t vote for him. Game over.

  7. Natalie, thanks for the recap. You seem like a nice person who has a lot of growing up to do. I call your recaps, recap-lite. You’re light on substance compared to the other blogs and you make some foolish remarks. But, some maturing will take care of that, I hope. I’m still mulling over two remarks, one about being drunk, and the other about Chris being sexy. The man is ugly inside and out. I don’t see anything sexy about him, and someone who acts like that is just plain ugly all the way around. So, if you’re drunk on a reality show it’s okay to take your top off on TV? Not in my world! I’d be curious to hear what your family had to say about it!

  8. Loved this episode!!!!! Glad to see more of Nick. Can’t wait to see what happens.

  9. Natalie,
I love you and your blog, but I have to agree that your constant gushing over Chris is disturbing. You have rose-colored glasses on when it comes to him. He’s mistreated two women, whined and got angry like a toddler threw roses when he didn’t get his way, and alienated everyone in the house besides Sarah. There is no possible way Chris could win over anyone else. This means he is NOT a good player.

    Comment by Phoebe — September 6, 2012 @ 2:41 pm

  10. Another great blog! I always wait for yours!! And judging by the intense preview for next weeks finale I can’t wait to see what you have to say about all that! I’m not sure if someone has already informed you of what Jacyln said to Rachel but it went something like:
    Rachel: Jacyln I’m so sorry
Jacyln: It’s fine. (with a quick half hug)… Understandable though
I don’t know how they all do this! I would definitely lose right away. I loved that they all knew you were the one that took your bikini off! I thought that was awesome! I loved Nick’s comment as he held your name up “a pretty good guess” haha… I think it’s really cool though! So don’t be ashamed or anything!

    Comment by Candice — September 6, 2012 @ 3:07 pm

  11. Yes Natalie, please stay away from Chris. I watched your interview with him on your show and you seem to be crushing on him. Watch the end after you say goodbye to him and the frustrated look on his face, either from a connection problem or the comments. Watch is face carefully. The guy has issues. He uses and emotionally abuses women…ON TELEVISION. What kind of a dick would he be in real life?

    Comment by skylar — September 6, 2012 @ 7:30 pm

  12. It seems like when things don’t go his way, he just goes into total immature asshole mode. I agree with everyone Natalie – this is NOT a well-adjusted guy.

    Comment by Sophie — September 6, 2012 @ 7:39 pm

  13. I wouldn’t kick Chris out of bed, but then he’d probably never get me there is the first place. He’s a good looking sexy guy as long as he’s on mute.

    Comment by Appleshe — September 6, 2012 @ 7:50 pm

  14. you’re one of my favourite bloggers because you’re light on the recap (we all saw the show already) and heavy on analysis – of fashion, inside scoops and musings. I don’t understand how going topless in semi-private (no privates will be shown on prime-time) is a moral issue? It doesn’t hurt anyone.

  15. Haha Ed does look like Greg Brady. Great comparison.

  16. @skylar, and she’s crushing on Craig (the attorney), and on Dave, and on Kalon….Nat’s not too discriminating.

    Comment by Ann — September 7, 2012 @ 3:41 am

  17. Natalie, I think it’s fine to have your own opinion of Chris. It’s okay if others don’t agree, you get to have your opinion and we respect you for it. Obviously, a lot of girls like him so you are not crazy. It’s hard to judge what he’s really like, but I think he is a nice guy most of the time but not above doing what it takes. Well, most of the bach folks are like that, we just see it more clearly w/Chris because he gets so much air time. Ed had at least two women on this show, he hurt Jaclyn’s feelings, plus he cheated on Jillian — so where’s all the Ed hate? And, as far as we know Chris never cheated on a real girlfriend. Michael w/how he dumped Rachel is dubious as well. I don’t think the Chris haters know what they are talking about. Personally I don’t find it him uber-attractive, but he’s better than average and he does an admirable job ignoring nasty people like Ashley S. who calls him mean names. He laughs her off because she is a nobody. Good for him. He has more self-control than people give him credit for. All in all I’d give him 8 out of 10 and definitely a lot more respect than some other current and past bach folks.

    Comment by Sarah Whitney — September 7, 2012 @ 7:19 am

  18. I just think its weird to applaud Chris for gameplay when the show obviously went out of their way to keep him around because he was providing a lot of drama in the house. I don’t see the difference between what he was saying behind Jamie’s back and then to her face with what Bentley did on Ashley’s season.

I don’t care if he’s a nice person “outside of television”. He still said all those despicable things.

And he comes off like an arrogant asshole and not in a charming way. What was the point in his speech to everyone before he decided who he was gonna kick off where he reprimanded everyone for not being loyal to him?! He’s delusional.

And Sarah comes off like she just desperately wants to like someone and wants attention. SO yeah… not even going to touch that. I just wish they would show the women to have a little bit more self respect. But I guess that doesnt make a good tv show…

  19. Love Natalie’s blogs! Read them every week and watch gossip with getz. On a unrelated note I hope Rachel is our next bachelorette!!

    Comment by Amber R — September 7, 2012 @ 8:24 pm

  20. @FallonA- no woman with self respect would sign up to do the show anyway.. this show is specifically set up to degrade women- anyone signing up for it obviously doesnt have much self worth to beging with.. at least for me, there isnt a price tag on my morals.. sure there might be one or two (pushing it with two) exceptions, but thats about it.. you know it’s trashy t.v. when you find yourself rooting for blakely and/or rachel..

    Comment by kasey — September 7, 2012 @ 10:22 pm

  21. Did you notice that after the singing challenge, even Sarah told Chris to not be such a sore loser. He was sulking and she called him out on it. He really needs to grow up.

Why are we not degrading Sarah along with Natalie. Sarah got drunk and took off her swim top as well.

All I can think about are the families at home who see their children behave like this. I would be very disappointed if my girls ever acted like this.

    Comment by tj — September 8, 2012 @ 6:19 am

  22. tj, I agree with you about the families. Even as wild as I was at that age, I wouldn’t have humiliated them that way. My mom would have been furious with me!!!! That alone would have stopped me.

    Comment by jessie — September 8, 2012 @ 12:49 pm

  23. I agree tj – Sarah is acting slutty on this show.

    Comment by Sarah Whitney — September 8, 2012 @ 1:12 pm

  24. I agree@Sarah, TJ, and Jessie.

Sarah has always bothered me on this show, with the hair twirling, vacant eyes, weird mouth movements (as if she is trying to form a permanent pucker), whipping off her top, overlooking all of Chris’ obvious character flaws because he’s “hot.” Yuck.

    Comment by Ann — September 8, 2012 @ 5:05 pm

  25. Any reason Ashley closed her comments section?

Strange. These reality show people make complete fools of themselves on national TV and yet are convinced they are “celebrities” and should be revered as if they actually accomplished something beyond appearing on stupid, sleazy reality show. They seem confused by lack of undying support among fans.

On her Gossip with Getz video blog talk show, Nat says that she would have hated participating in this season because of the fans — yuck, she said. Hey, Nat — the feelings are mutual. Most of the decent people watching this stupid show ould never allow a Bachelor show contestant into our homes.

    Comment by Ann — September 8, 2012 @ 5:21 pm

  26. @Ann- Ashley’s comment section got taken down because people were posting spoilers when she specifically asked them in her blog not to do that. Because some people don’t want to know what happens, she had them taken down out of respect to those people. That’s all. Hopefully they will be back again this week! :) Have a nice night/day!

    Comment by Beth Holler — September 8, 2012 @ 7:27 pm

  27. Love how the people who hate us sooooo much are the ones who can’t get enough of us. Reading our blogs…commenting on our blogs….watching our webisodes…. Thanks, I suppose!

    Comment by Natalie Getz — September 8, 2012 @ 7:56 pm

  28. I don’t hate you Natalie :) How can I hate someone I have never met? Don’t worry about haters, they’re just trying to get a rise out of you. Also, now that you know how to get rid of comments there’s no reason you shouldn’t! It’s your blog! Anyway, I hope you have a great rest of your weekend! xoxo

    Comment by Beth Holler — September 8, 2012 @ 9:05 pm

  29. @Beth
I respect Nat for not editing all the comments compulsively to make it seem like everyone agrees with her all the time. I don’t agree with your encouraging people to eliminate anyone who has a different viewpoint. Not everyone is a hater just because they have an opinion.

    Comment by Becca — September 9, 2012 @ 3:25 pm

  30. @Becca- I don’t know where you got that I encouraged Nat to eliminate anyone’s comments that has a different viewpoint. I told her that she can delete hurtful comments if she wants to, but that’s her choice. There is a massive difference between having a differing opinion and just being really mean. I am fine with differing opinions, but I am not okay with people posting things that hurt others feelings. Also, since you’re clearly talking about (hinting at) Ashley, say her damn name. Don’t be a coward. She didn’t take down the comments this week because they were mean, but rather because they had spoilers and she asked people not to. I was trying to bring some positivity to Nat in the midst of all this negativity and you just go and tell me I am wrong. Not cool. Since you’re so concerned about respecting opinions, you should respect my opinion that I think it’s okay for Natalie to take down comments that are hurtful to her.

    Comment by Beth Holler — September 9, 2012 @ 6:57 pm

  31. She doesn’t seem upset to me lol. People who get into this biz know that they are in the limelight, good or bad. If they are babies, they should not go for the fame. Can’t have it both ways.

And practice what you preach, calling names like coward makes you a hypocrite.

    Comment by Becca — September 10, 2012 @ 12:45 pm

  32. Natalie,

I think you’re blog is always quite funny. Clearly I’m a little behind on my BP3 viewing as I’m just getting to reading your blog now.

My least favourite things about these blogs are the commenters, yet I just can’t bring myself to stop reading. Commenters who refer to BP3 as a ‘sad excuse for a reality show’ yet take the time to find, read, and comment on the show’s blogs? I actually can’t. Commenters who argue with one another via an online forum? Can’t. It’s easy for anyone to sit behind a computer and have an anonymous opinion, eh? Seriously though – my excuse for a lot of things is being drunk so YOU’RE NOT ALONE, GIRL ;)

MOVING ALONG THOUGH – I’m a little worried that after tonight’s episode I won’t like M Stag as much … hoping it isn’t so!!!

    Comment by Kandace — September 10, 2012 @ 1:30 pm

  33. I accidentally used the wrong your/you’re in the above comment and it is bothering me.

    Comment by Kandace — September 10, 2012 @ 1:36 pm

  34. @Kandace, You wrote “you’re not alone girl” that is the correct use of the you’re vs your. Don’t beat yourself about it, there are just some posters here that they think they own the blogs and are spelling and grammar Nazi’s. But I think Bonnie is looking for me in Nat’s Episode 4 blog so don’t worry she won’t come here and ruin our day! What a great finale! Nick rocks and good on him for winning the whole enchilada! Looking forward to the new season of the Bachelor, who is it going to be? :-)

    Comment by Couriouser — September 11, 2012 @ 7:05 am

  35. While “you’re not alone” IS using the proper “you’re”…she was correct when she said she used the wrong one too…her very first sentence reads, “I think you’re blog is always…”

So props for catching that Kandace.
