Natalie’s Bachelor Blog: Episode 4
Episode 4: And the award goes to…Courtney! Best Actress in a Reality TV Series
Scarf Day! Whose is the cutest? Hmmmmm….I’ll tell you whose isn’t! Elyse may have picked out a cute scarf, but there is no “A” for effort in fashion. It’s all about how you style it. Nicki was right on with her floral print scarf loosely knotted around her neck to show a fun side in a sophisticated way. GetzStyle Tip: Scarfs are the perfect piece to take an outfit from dull to dapper! During the dull winter months, search for scarves with loud colors or funky patterns. Scarves are the best way to make any outfit look hip and put together. It can completely change the look of the outfit! Make sure you style it correctly. Wrap it around your neck in a sloppy way or a perfected way like Nicki did depending on the environment you are in. Just don’t leave it dangling like Elyse did.
Like Kacie B., I also hate watching the guy I’m dating fly off in a helicopter with another girl. Totally sucks and happens all the time. Kacie B. states, “Even though I know he is coming over to go on a date with someone else, at least I get to see him for a minute.” Wow. The only time you will hear this line come out of a woman’s mouth WOULD be on this show. Then she continues to say, “I don’t want to see him in a helicopter with another girl. I don’t.” I laughed so hard that something weird came out of my nose. What? Don’t tell anyone! So embarrassing! Ok, I get it; I was the same way on the Bachelor Pad, except replace her thoughts on Ben with Money. Because that’s what I was so close to the whole time. Damn it feels good to be a white gangster.
Ben and Rachel: Careful, Ben. Monica has feelings for Rachel now and you are about to step in on her game…
Whoa…that started off like my date with Jason. Good thing Rachel didn’t talk about her love for furry animals. What if Rachel let one rip right when Ben said, “I love the peace and quiet?” Yes, I’m immature, but this date is boring. Canoe ride, picnic, blah blah blah. At first he thought he wasn’t connecting, and I secretly got excited to potentially see a girl sent home on a 1 on 1 date, because it’s dramatic, even though I like Rachel. The date went something like this: they weren’t connecting, now they are. Long, serious talk. Face sucking. Oooomph, she gets the rose.
Here is an example of wearing your scarf in a “sloppy” way. I love this look, because it looks chill and effortless, but stylish all at the same time. Cute first date accessory, Rachel!
Group Date: FISHING! Let’s hope they don’t “catch” something else.
Ohhhhh, all the metaphors about Ben being a great “catch” are making me want to stab a pencil in my eyeball. Except for I won’t do that because then I wouldn’t be able to creep on men all day. Mmmm boys… Ok, anyway, where was I? No, back to boys. Use them to accessorize! I don’t like when girls say, “Screw guys!” They are simple-minded babies who need to be held and nurtured like a small child. GetzStyle Tip: Guys make great accessories to events. If you have nothing in your closet or are having an off day, bring a good looking guy friend and everyone will notice him instead of your staunch threads.
Courtney’s one-liners are absolutely hilarious! Am I saying I like her for Ben? No. Absolutely not. Do I like watching her on TV? Hell ya! She comes up with some pretty hilarious sayings, no matter how mean they are. The things she is saying about the girls in the house are flat out ridiculous. I think this is her humor, but I think she is just a catty girl who doesn’t like other females. She even has a fake, bitchy tone in her voice when she talks to Ben. Almost like she thinks she is better than him and is only here for the game.
Casey S. stole the show with her style tonight in a sheer, white over sized T-shirt underneath a tailored black blazer paired with destroyed skinny jeans and basic black pumps. Since there was obviously going to be a pool at the after party, she dressed up her pink bikini top in a creative way!
Samantha is probably the most awkward person in the entire world. I felt so bad for her tonight, because she was just trying to be upfront with Ben about getting more time with him, but Mr. Flanjik took her aggression the wrong way and she was sent packing. Literally.
Rose Ceremony: Courtney gets arrested for verbal assault charges towards Emily in what was supposed to be a pleasant evening. Representation for both parties could not be reached for comment at this time.
In preparation for the rose ceremony, I spy Blakeley being a selfless girlfriend. I love hanging with my girlfriends, so it was refreshing to see them getting along. Blakeley took time out of her day to touch up Emily’s roots. This is too cute! It shows that Blakeley is a good girl who just needs a little help with her style. Style reflects who you are whether you want to admit it or not. Blakeley’s scandalous wardrobe threw the girls and me completely off.
GetzStyle Tip: Dress to reflect your personality. Blakeley is clearly a sweet girl who was misunderstood by constantly having her breasts shoved up to her chin. It’s ok to dress sexy, but there are classier ways to do it! I’d also like to point out how cute it is that Elyse is feeding Emily’s drink to her. This shows a lot about Elyse and that she is a girl’s girl. She is slowly regaining my trust in that she isn’t a total ass kicker. This also shows that Emily is a likable girl with all of her friends pampering her.
Once again, Courtney’s true colors come out as she states that she is, “Winning.” This time she says it to all the girls. It’s so brutal to watch her be so snotty and conceited. She is so pretty and smart. It’s a shame she isn’t a sweetheart! She could easily have the “total package.” Will Ben eventually see how she treats the girls when he is not around? Wow, this season is good!
Lindzi never fails! This is the best screen capture I could grab of her dress, sorry! Between her style today on the group date and her knack for always looking great at rose ceremonies, Lindzi hands down is the most consistently well-dressed gal in the house.
Kacie looks fantastic in this simple, crew neck, long sleeve dress. It’s basic, but hugs her figure in a flattering way. She styled her hair perfectly to represent this dress in a sleek, side ponytail. I’m a huge fan of keeping things simple and sleek!
I love the way this pale, purple dress flows down Casey’s torso. She looks very elegant and the chunky silver necklace was a great piece to tie in. What I don’t like is the fact she is defending someone who is down right rude to everyone. Casey wants to be the girl that likes everyone, I get it. But, she needs to be careful on how this will reflect on her. She tells Emily that Courtney is nice to girls that are nice to her. Well, Courtney was rude to everyone first, so why should they have to kiss her butt to get her to like them? Oh well, at least Casey finally got some airtime. At least Courtney pays attention to her, Ben! I’m thankful for that because she is one of the best dressers in the house!
Courtney is always posing as if she is practicing for work. Unlike her personality at the ceremony tonight, this dress is classic and adorable. When I had a safety rose on the Bachelor Pad, I never sat around at cocktail parties holding it on my lap like a small dog. (No offence, Scotch) I was off hanging out and having a blast with my friends, something Courtney doesn’t relate to because she admittedly only hangs out with guys in real life. Wow.
Where did Jennifer even find this Aztec print, one shoulder dress? I mean, it’s not horrendous, but it’s not cute. It’s boring and a completely wrong choice for a rose ceremony dress.
Goodness. Gracious. This dress is outdated. Everything from the cut to the color is awful. Monica looks like a print ad for a Sears fashion commercial. The grandma cardigan she threw over the dress was upsetting and the over sized rose pattern was a little cheesy to wear on this show! I don’t think Monica and Ben would have made a cute couple, but I’m going to miss watching this hilarious girl! I kind of can’t wait to see her on the Women Tell All to get an update on her love life.
Jamie is such a sweet, beautiful girl who happens to make awful style decisions. She has consistently dressed for senior year prom from night one. This dress, again, appears to be something you would see in a beauty pageant. Not a rose ceremony.
GetzStyle Award: It’s a tie!
Casey and Lindzi both had consistent style throughout from casual date attire to formal wear. Nice work!
