Blake Goes Ring Shopping

  1. I like Blake and Holly, but that was just weird. So Neil Lane gave him the ring for free? is that the deal?

    Comment by cynthia — September 16, 2011 @ 10:42 pm

  2. I think that there is a deal with Neil Lane and ABC, where ABC pays a discount for the diamond in exchange for some publicity for Neil Lane. But I am pretty sure that Blake didn’t pay a dime for that ring. It is really gorgeous though! I wish they would tell us how much it is worth…

    Comment by Amy — September 16, 2011 @ 11:51 pm

  3. It is Cynthia! Exactly what happened!

    Comment by Mandy — September 16, 2011 @ 11:52 pm

  4. I predict Blake and Holly won’t make it another month.

    Comment by Roxanne — September 17, 2011 @ 12:55 am

  5. “Holly is the answer to all my questions!”

How do I get photographed in the National Inquirer?

How can I find a woman stupid enough to think I’m a catch?”

Where can I find a used bicycle that I can auction off on eBay after I have had a few rides?

How can I acquire a fan following like Jesse, Jeremy, and Wes?

How can I stick it to all the kids at school who called me a nerd and prove that I am really a stud?

Where can I find a woman too stupid to question me about the bodies I have buried in my basement?

Where can I find a woman who won’t mind my cheating?

Where can I find a woman who would agree to a fake engagement to get enough publicity to launch my dental practice before kicking her to the curb and marrying someone I like better?

Where can I find a woman who shares my passion for lying, deceit, manipulation, back stabbing, and fame whorism?

    Comment by Man Code — September 17, 2011 @ 1:09 am

  6. Who cares if the ring is free or whatever? if they are happy, its all good!

    Comment by Jess — September 17, 2011 @ 1:10 am

  7. Totally weird clip. When did Neil Lane become a marriage therapist and Blake’s buddy? “Call me.” Weird. The things people do for money and publicity.

    Comment by Paula — September 17, 2011 @ 3:33 am

  8. I agree. Neil Lane looks swarmy too — like some hustler buddy of Blake’s. Why is Blake’s buddy? Why would they film Blake ring shopping? I wonder if Neil Lane’s antics will actuall COST him customers. This was a really stupid publicity move. I would actually choose NOT to buy a ring from Neil Lane (if I were a man) after knowing the depths to which he descended for publicity. He must have known all about the Michael-Holly drama and thought to capitalize on it while making a mockery of marriage. Well done, everyone!

    Comment by Jane — September 17, 2011 @ 12:20 pm

  9. Is Neil Lane this dishonest in his business practices as well?

This whole video is weird. We get to see Lane’s collection (nothing spectacular there) and then he tried to pretend to be Blake’s best friend before shaking his hands, saying, “Nice to have met you.”

DId you all know each other before hand or not. Damn?

    Comment by Name — September 17, 2011 @ 12:45 pm

  10. Neil Lane giving marriege counseling to a complete stranger?? Now that was funny!!

    Comment by Sharon — September 17, 2011 @ 12:53 pm

  11. Beautiful! I hope Blake and Holly have a long life together.

You never see Blake happier and more sincere, then when he is with Holly or talking about her.

    Comment by Louise — September 17, 2011 @ 1:03 pm

  12. Maybe Neil Lane felt the need to give engagement advise because so many of his rings are returned.

    Comment by Charley — September 17, 2011 @ 3:19 pm

  13. fun! do you all think the wedding will be airing on abc?

    Comment by krysty — September 17, 2011 @ 3:28 pm

  14. That had to have been planned a ways in advance, for him to have that ring ready. And to know what kind of ring Holly wanted, she had to have known about it too. So that’s proof that there was a whole lot more time that they could have told Michael they were getting engaged before hitting him with it in front of tv cameras and an audience.

    Comment by gismo — September 17, 2011 @ 5:18 pm

  15. Not sure Blake has a sincere bone in his body — beyond the one.

    Comment by Please — September 17, 2011 @ 8:39 pm

  16. Neil Lane comes across just as slick as slimey Blake the Snake. Can’t imagine anyone would want to go to Blake for dental treatment. He would be oggling all the girls and seeing if they wanted to join him in the sack and poor old Holly would doing the scheduling.

    Comment by Lottie — September 17, 2011 @ 10:30 pm

  17. BLAKE AND HOLLY MADE BP show exciting and fun to watch. I hope it’s FOREVER FOR THE TWO OF THEM! i love to see good endings and i hope to watch their wedding on ABC like Trista and Ryans.. i really, really hope it works for the two of them.

  18. dont be assholes. no one is judging you for your pathetic mistakes, im sure most of you wouldve whored around for 250k .and obviously, they couldve preordered it . they didnt just barge in there hoping for a free ring . it was probably paid for before hand . and , people change . so shut your traps , and be ashamed of yourselves because if someone ran their mouth like that bout you , im sure youd feel like shit .

    Comment by aya — September 18, 2011 @ 2:53 am

  19. I wouldn’t have whored around…and I can tell you that whoring around was absolutely not a prerequisite for winning. Michael didn’t nor did Michele and Graham. Even Vienna and Kasey, who were disgusting, were monogamous with each other.

You people don’t get it. It wasn’t just the chearing…it was the character.

They didn’t make the show exciting. Erica brought wit and charm. Michael brought sincerity. Jake, Vienna, and Kasey brought drama. Blake and Holly brought stupidity. I saw nothing with Holly beyond giggling and blank looks. They did not bring anything interesting to the show.

  21. By the way, do you see the extent to which Blake and Holly have damaged their characters before the nation? They are almost universally reviled.

Why would a dentist starting a new practice conduct himself like that. Holly is not perceived as a slut who has bedded the entire Bachelor franchise. Both are laughing stocks. THe country isn’t laughing with, but AT them.

They compromised their reputations, good names, and possibly their career prospects just for money and a moment of excitement? They sound souless and narcissism — which is a pathological sociopathy.

Scary people out there actually support these jokers.

  22. Please,

Please never ever have children! Society does not need to have another generation of someone that thinks they are omniscient and then spreads HATE as much as you and your “friends” do!!! AND the hate isn’t limited to just Blake or Holly either does it? Look in the mirror – you have an ugly hateful soul!!!

    Comment by Emily — September 19, 2011 @ 1:18 am

  23. Emily,

The hateful soul lies within Blake and Holly, or were you not paying attention. Sorry, but I will not turn a blind eye to evil. Both of these people are sociopaths, who use and discard people for their own self enrichment.

I’m sure you think Hitler is a kindly old man who was just misunderstood.

99 percent of the audience who witnessed their behavior is disgusted by it. Ask yourself why you have so little integrity that you condone such actions.

And no I don’t have “friends” who watch Bachelor Pad. None of my friends even talk about this show, and I am not even sure why I watch it. After this season, I am done with the franchise — it went too far in offending my sensibilities.

I am sorry you are unable to see right from wrong and that you accuse people who speak up against evil as “hateful.”

As for having children, I expect Holly will have many out of wedlock. Good luck with your values, which are pushing this country into the sewer.

    Comment by Please — September 19, 2011 @ 2:48 am

  24. Furthermore, what kind of a person attacks another person on blogs — as opposed to commenting on a show. Do you know these crazy loons personally? You must, otherwise why be so personal over people you don’t even know and attack fellow bloggers? Who are you to tell me not to have children? What a hateful nasty soul YOU are.

    Seriously, get a life.

    Comment by Please — September 19, 2011 @ 2:50 am

  25. One more thing, Emily,

You clearly are projecting onto others what you are yourself. I DON’T HATE Blake and Holly. I think they are terribly misguided souls who have not been raised properly. I wouldn’t never hire either one of them as neither has any integrity nor would I want them in my social circle or family.

I don’t hate them any more than I hate mosquitos. I just see them for what they are and am staying clear.

Sorry, but nice try. I have many friends, a loving husband and family. And no I would not allow my children to associate with Holly and Blake, who would be a terrible influence on anyone. I expect both have left a great deal of devastation and sorrow in their wake. Look at all the chaos they caused in that house. There is a reason the house voted Blake least liked and why the audience has low regard for Holly.

Telling me I am hateful because I don’t rally around two broken, misguided people may make you feel better, but is far from the truth. Too bad Blake and Holly’s “friends,” enable their dysfunction and think anyone who finds fault with their aberrant behavior is hateful.

What is hateful is Holly’s mother threatening to beat up senior citizens and Blake using women for sex on national TV — or don’t you see that?

Please don’t have children and raise little sociopaths like Blake and Holly. The world is screwed up enough over sick people like this.

    Comment by Please — September 19, 2011 @ 2:58 am

  26. That was amazing and thank you, ABC, Blake, Neil Lane, and all for sharing this. Everyone needs to mind their own business and let others live their lives. You have no idea about someone until you have walked in their shoes. Honestly, I think Blake and Holly deserve something good from ABC after all the trash talking people are doing about them. They are normal, respectable people. Michael and Holly were over, and I’m pretty sure if someone was on Bachelor Pad that Michael was attracted to, he would have pursued that person just as Holly pursued Blake. Best wishes to everyone from the show- I hope they all find love and happiness.

    Comment by Elizabeth — September 19, 2011 @ 7:37 am

  27. I think the love between Holly and Blake is real, and he’s sincere about proposing. It’s a nice ring too. They are a lovely couple and I wish them well. I don’t know why some have such hateful hearts towards the two who found love and were single at the time.

    Comment by Tess2 — September 19, 2011 @ 4:24 pm

  28. Holly & Blake are decent people who fell in love on a reality what! Would you be happier if Holly didn’t follow her heart and stayed with Michael for fear of what the public would think and then hurt him by later breaking up once again with huge regrets about not embracing her feelings for Blake? BTW her mother did not imply she was going to beat up a senior citizen (gross exxageration at best!)Blake will end up with a lucrative thriving dental practice in Greenville with Holly by his side.WinWin! BTW Michael is just fine, hanging out with Chelsie Hightower..probably will be on DWTS another win win.

  30. Sorry Please, I stand by my comment. You and your group that is posting on here, this website, are spewing hate. Print off all of your comments from these pages and then read them to your children for bed time stories. Are you proud that you are teaching them hate through your example?

    Comment by Emily — September 20, 2011 @ 2:08 am

  31. Leave them a lone. Everyone deserves to be happy. Hey if it meant money and a beautiful expensive ring, everyone would do it. So keep all your unkind and stupid comments to yourselves. Congrats Holly and Blake. Wish you happiness.

    Comment by Deb — September 20, 2011 @ 3:18 pm

  32. Gosh, wouldn’t it be nice if we looked at the show for what it really is. I am sure that much of what you saw was just a performance. So lets just look at it like that and lets just love one another and not say hurtful things. Wouldn’t the world be a much nicer place to live if we could be kind.

    Comment by Shirley — September 28, 2011 @ 2:41 pm

  33. Love you Blake. Don’t let the haters get you down.

    Comment by Mari — October 9, 2011 @ 2:41 pm

  34. Why do they have to show this? Did they show other people when they were engaged? Think they like to do this stuff to give something to talk about so the “heat stuff” between Blake and Michael or Michael and Holly can be continuously discussed over and over.

    Comment by Amber — October 17, 2011 @ 4:00 am

  35. you guys that have previously commented.. why are you so ignorant. ABC publishes these videos because fans of Blake and Holly want to see these things. And obviously they have met before he had to go in sometime and talk about what kind of ring he wanted. It’s kind of a big deal. You don’t just walk in one day and walk out with a ring and thats it. im only 17 and you guys should know this. sorry i just can’t stand stupidity. :)

You know so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually will need to…HaHa).
You certainly put a new spin on a subject that’s been discussed for decades. Excellent stuff, just great!
