I don't think it was a bad idea to not do the plunge. That could be a serious health hazard to someone with a preexisting medical condition and can induce a reflex life threatening slow heart rate, not to mention hypothermia. I wouldn't risk hypothermia to have a relationship. That seems a little twisted. I am sure there are plenty of guys who will have a relationship with a girl who won't jump when they say jump.
