She is cute, funny, playful, and she would be able to roll with the punches that an entire season would dole out to her. My wife and I were talking about how Shawntel's suitors would be aware of her career and that she would be taking over the family business, therefore staying near her hometown. It would be a fun storyline to see the mens' reactions and ultimately someone settling down with her at the end. We can only imagine the limited pool of fish from traditional methods of dating that Shawntel has to choose, due to her career. Shawntel would make a great bachelorette! This way all the men would know right away her career is a big part of her life--it's all consuming because it's the family business. When she comes home from work, she doesn't stop talking about work I bet...She could be in any industry, and once you're a business owner/family business, it's really 24/7 in your life. Shawntel--nobody likes listening to others talk about work so much no matter what you do for a living. Also, for your future male companions, be more sensitive to their possible funeral home anxieties. I agree that most people are in denial of death (I don't remember exactly how you put it on the show), but that doesn't mean you should be the one to help them get over their fears. Her family took opportunity to air a commercial for the funeral home that they run, at the point where her date was being broadcast. Honestly, I found it to be the most testeless thing I've ever seen. 2. Who the hell puts a prospective husband on the slab? Was that a last ditch effort to have him get closer to you. Showing him where his ashes would rest? Nice. It didn't work. 3. And a guy who has issues discussing death in the first place, he should have let her go way before meeting families. Duuh. 1.
